My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

Okay, I just finished watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (I actually finished it like, this very minute lol!) so I decided to share some thoughts!

Okay, so I'll tell you quickly about the story: One day Cha Dae Woong (Lee Seung Gi) accidently sets a gumiho/nine-tailed fox (Shin Min Ah) free who has been locked up by her grandmother in a painting for over 500 years. The gumiho takes form of a human and she starts to follow Dae Woong and takes liking to him. She also threatens to eat him if he doesn't buy her cow meat.

There is a whole lot more to tell about the story but as usual I don't want to spoil anything!

Anyway, I'll share some thoughts! First of all, this drama can be described in two simple words: Cuteness Overload! I mean, Seung Gi / Dae Woong is simply a cutie and the gumiho / Min Ah is so adooooorable! Her character is just.. So cute!
At first, I didn't actually like her at all. But it took me only like, 2 episodes or so to start to like her.

I really enjoyed the drama a lot! Watching Dae Woong being scared of gumiho and trying to get rid of her, while she was fond of him and wanted to follow him everywhere. Seeing Dae Woong trying to deny his feelings when he started to fall for gumiho, since he felt that he couldn't possibly be falling for a non-human being.

The ending.. Maybe it's because I just finished watching it and I haven't really had time to process it, but I'm not sure what I think about the ending yet. It's not a tragedy ending though, but I'd be very surprised if it was since it's the Hong Sisters who wrote this drama. But I still don't know if I think the ending was good or bad? Hmm.. I DO think that it could have been done a bit better, but at the same time it didn't really disappoint me completely either. The last few episodes made me feel a bit uneasy though (if you watch the drama you will get why I guess) but what happened there is something that happens in many dramas so I don't know why I felt that way. Okay, it's hard to try to tell you about it this way since I can't spoil lol.. <_< But honestly, other than that thing, I really really enjoyed this drama! It's simply cute and funny, and it makes you happy. Of course there are sad moments too, otherwise we couldn't call it drama, na? ;)

WOW, okay I just blabbered in this post, sorry. ._.

Summary: If you are looking for a cute and fun series, but also with a good amount of drama, you should check My Girlfriend is a Gumiho out!

Souvenirs from Japan

Hello reader-sama~
I'm sorry for not updating a lot about my trip to Japan; I was actually thinking about making a post a few days ago but then I realized that I don't have my laptop right now, where the pictures are (and I really want to share some photos too) so you'll have to wait for that for a while. I'll get my laptop on sunday again I think!

I do have a picture to show you that I took with another camera, so I still had the pictures on the memory cards.
So, here is my picture of souvenirs I bought in Japan!

Items on the picture, from the upper right: Tokyo t-shirt, manga girl t-shirt, Pocky (Japanese candy), mobile phone jewellery (3 on my cell: a deer, Luffy & Usopp [from the manga One Piece] and one on the side; a geisha), Chopper(from the manga One Piece)-key chain, bamboo-bookmark, chopsticks, Chopper socks.

I really regret that I didn't buy the latest One Piece volume in Japanese!! Geez, I saw it and.. It looked.. So pretty *_* <-Psycho fan.
That way I would be able to practice my Japanese as well. But of course I didn't buy it. Of course.. Stupid me.

Fairy Tail movie (2nd post)

Okay, so I very recently wrote a post about an upcoming Fary Tail film (read it here if you didn't already!) and now there is more info out about it!
It's not much but the info we got is some the staff who are going to work on the movie. Masaya Fujimori (You are Umasou) will direkt the production and Masashi Sogo (Fairy Tail, Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin) is going to write the screenplay. Mashima himself (the author of the manga) is going to be in charge of story planning and visual design, plus he will help with character designs. (Source)
Hearing that Mashima will be in charge of the story makes me very happy. I like watching anime movies, but mostly the real manga author isn't even involved in the story or anything at all. That makes it feel like.. I don't know how to explain, but it's like they just take the characters from that manga and make any movie they want, so you just consider the movie 100% filler. But when the manga author actually is the writer of the story, it feels like "whoa, everything that happens the author actually approves of, so even though it's not part of the original manga, it still doesn't feel quite like a filler."
Gosh, I don't know how to explain but I hope you get it -_-

Re-using this image since there seems to be no new ones about the movie.

I'm vvvveeeryyy excited for this movie! I really like Fairy Tail! If there should be one thing I could complain about is the fact that I don't watch the anime, I only read the manga, so I think some voices are not very fitting for the characters (I've checked out the anime a little bit), for example Lucy's voice.. I had some problems with Natsu's voice at first but after watching a few clips I have gotten more or less used to it.
Anyway, that's the problem with reading the manga before watching the anime! But I won't let this affect my opinion on the movie of course. :)
Oh an one last complaint: It takes freaking long until we non-japanese people can watch anime movies!! >_< It's released 18th of August 2012 in theaters in Japan.. but that is NOT when we will see it.. :| Dunno how long it'll take for us other countries.

Song Ji Eun ft. Bang Yong Guk - Going Crazy

Whaa, I thought I shared this with you guys already but it seems I didn't!
Anyway, you guys may know about Bang Yong Guk, he has recieved a pretty big fanbase already after his song "I Remember" which is featuring Yang Yoseob from B2st. If you haven't heard it, check it out!

I really like "I Remember", but it took me some time to find this song that this post is actually about. It's called "Going Crazy" and it's featuring Song Ji Eun from SECRET. This song got me hooked right away! Ji Eun has some really nice vocals and the chorus is awesome! Bang Yong Guk's rap is good as always too! Check out the vid here:

Did you also know that Yong Guk is going to debut in a new boygroup? I think it's unknown when this is going to happen since TS Entertainment has only revealed two of the five members of the group! Those two are Bang Yong Guk and Kim Him Chan.
I know I'm going to keep an eye on this new group!

1 Litre of Tears

Hello everyone!
I just finished a J-Drama called "1 Litre of Tears" (1 Litre no Namida), and the title pretty much sums up how much I cried during the series I guess. The series follows 15-year old Aya who is diagnosed with an incurable disease called spinocerebellar degeneration. The doctor informs that Aya will be getting a harder time walking, writing, speaking, holding things and soon enough this will lead to her not being able to even stand, swallow food properly and not being able to talk.
The story is extremely sad and seeing Aya get more and more difficulties thanks to the disease is really heart-breaking to see. The most heart-breaking thing about this series is that it is based on a true story. It's based on  Aya Kito (1962-1988)'s book from 1986 called "1 Litre no Namida". This book is her diary over the years of her disease, and we also get to see Aya in the drama write diaries.
In the end of each episode some pictures of Aya Kito, the writer of the diary, are being shown. This makes the story feel even more real and it's extremely sad to think that, "wow.. people actually goes through things like this..".

As I already said, it was a really heart-breaking series and I recommend anyone to watch it! I really want to read the real thing as well, maybe I will someday. This series at least helps Aya Kito to share her story.

Like Birds

Well actually, I'm not in the mood (personal matters) of updating the blog but..
I'll just update with a post telling you I'm still alive! And a quite catchy song too.. Have you heard FT Island's version of Byun Jin Sup's "Like the Birds"? No I'm not out late, I just wanted to share it with those who haven't listened to it yet. ^^ It's a nice song! Couldn't find the original (1988) at the moment though, so if you want to compare the both, you have to do the research yourselves! Eheh..

Anyways, as I mentioned in the beginning, I'm not in the mood right now. Sooo, you just have to wait for (or stand out) Hyung's awesome little updates if you love our blog so much (ofcourse you do! keke~) until I'm back on track again!

Fairy Tail movie in theaters 2012!

A Fairy Tail film will be coming to theaters next year on August 18th! (G-Dragon's birthday lolol) Anyway, if you don't know Fairy Tail, it's a manga by Hiro Mashima, which has been adapted to an anime series. I found out about the news of the film through the scanlations on mangastream of the latest chapter! Through these two pages:

..Along with some awesome NatsuxLucy *_* WHY DO WE GET NO NATSUxLUCY IN THE ACTUAL STORY, EH? (I'm a huge NaLu-fan kekeke~)

Anyway, I don't know much more about the movie than this and I doubt there is much more information out. I can't wait to see it though! Even though it's friggin' long until it's out. T_T

Dengeki Daisy

Just wanted to recommend a manga for you guys!
If you like shoujo-manga I want you to check out the manga Dengeki Daisy! NOW!
It's an on-going manga (unfortunately it only releases a new chapter every month or so ;_; *SOB*), so far 45 chapters has been released and every chapter contains abooout.. 35-40 pages or so?
It's something about this manga that, at least in my opinion, really makes it unique from other shoujo-mangas. Maybe not at first, but at least further ahead in the manga. And, well.. The thing I like most about this manga is the fact that I LOVE BOTH MAIN CHARACTERS. Yes, both the boy and the girl! Haha, I actually often has some problems with either one of them (or sometimes even both), but in Dengeki Daisy they both are great. Kurosaki Tasuku is not the typical blonde (well, okay he is blonde...), long-eyelashed, sparkly eyed, gentleman, 'prince-riding-on-a-white-horse-while-the-wind-embraces-his hair'-dude. (LOL, this is totally my image of the typical shojo guy, HAH.) And Teru is.. I don't know how to explain her but she is just a cute but weird girl who can stand up for herself~ I really like her!
Uhh, I'm trying to write about the series but I feel like anything I'll write will spoil it ._.
Just read it if you want, okay?.. lol! Such an unnecessary post, but I don't want to reveal too much about the story so I'll leave it at this ;_; I just wanted to give you guys a recommendation, so if you have nothing to read at the moment, just check it out!

I really like this page *_*

Be Quiet

I apologize beforehand but this post is going to be so Junhyung-biased lol.. *_*
Junhyung is freaking awesome and cool and.. and awesome and.. Did I mention awesome?

Okay, okay, I'll stop! Hahah.
Anyway, Be Quiet is a relatively new song, but it came out a while ago though. I listened to it pretty much right away but I thought I'd write about it too.
The song is pretty nice, but it's kinda cliché and not extremely unique. (I like Kim Wan Seon's style tho!) But it's listenable! Junhyung's rap part though... *_* (Oh, here I go again..)
No, but really! It's very cool, and I'm not just saying this because I really like Junhyung, but because it's true. His rapping fits really well with this kind of beat imo and his dorkyness in the video makes it even better! Check out the full vid, and then you can do like me if you want - sit and repeat the vid below which only contains Junhyung's part, LOL.

Final Fantasy X

Okay so I just finished playing Final Fantasy X (YES, I know I am late playing that game! It's my first FF-game though.). What can I say.. FKKIN SAD, THAT'S WHAT IT IS! I know that I'm a crybaby but still. It WAS a sad ending, I bet you'd think so werther you played the game or not. I was sitting trying to blink my tears away since dad woulda wondered wth was going on with me. o.o If he weren't awake I'd totally be crying out loud, no doubt. It was painful trying not to cry, lol! And that the ending song is so sad too didn't help me. Whoa... Anyway, this was really a genious and amazing game. I'm in love with it! I'm in love with the story and characters. I actually like sad endings kind of, even though they make me feel "NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~", but endings like this makes a big impact on you, no? And I like games (also applies to animes, or dramas etcetc) that are sad, because they make me FEEL something! Feeling a strong emotion, either strong happiness or strong sadness, from a game.. I love that! The sadness part has a little bit more impact on me though.
Okay, losing the subject here. Anyway, if you are NOT planning on playing this game, you should check out the ending! If you ARE planning on playing the game.. Well, the vid will spoil a lot, that's for sure, lol!

The beginning of this vid may be a bit confusing for you who haven't played it lol <_< But promise me to watch 'til the end, na~?

Anyway, I'll watch it again later tonight when my dad is asleep so I can cry my eyes out, LOL. I like crying to games/movies/anime etc. I actually do.

My rating of Final Fantasy X is definitely 5/5! Maybe I'll re-play the game in a few years~

K-POP is taking over the world ~

So true so true and so glad I'm already a part of this world since years! Sorry for not updating constantly, but these days I'm very tired T_T My little schoolvacation is over and these coming weeks there will be only containing of either studying or chillaxing from studying..

Anyways, why am I saying k-pop is taking over the world? Well yeah, firstly there are many companies who are taking risks and let their talents go exposing their amazing talents outside Asia.  IT'S NOTHING BUT AWESOME but unfortunately, no one will ever, EVER come visit Sweden where I live :c so sad, so sad.. (SM Town Tour, Korean Music Bank and others of awesomeness - everything (almost) in either UK/Paris though -.- This I mean in Europe..)
Secondly, BIGBANG wins the EMA (still spazzing like a fangirl over this), AND NOW, 2NE1 won the MTV IGGY! And both are from YG Entertainment! :D YGE RAWKS, that's why.
And.. the third one.. the last one.. Okay, I dunno. Either way, K-pop will take over the world. That is something I will make sure of.. (well, no I don't have the capacity for it) K-POP FTW!
(Hey did you know K-POP is my first and last love?)

List of things I noticed in Japan

The full name of this list would probably be "List of random things I noticed in Japan which aren't really surprising but I thought I'd share anyway".

Here goes:

- One Piece-stuff EVERYWHERE! (If anyone of you don't know, One Piece is like, the most popular manga in Japan. So I doubt you don't know of it.) As I said, this is not surprising at all but for a huge One Piece-fan like me, I still got excited everytime I saw something related. So many OP things to buy; for example puzzles, figures, erasers, key rings etc etc etc. (Obviously I bought some!)

- High heels! Compared to where I come from, there were sooooo many girls wearing high heels as everyday-shoes. There are people wearing theme here too but I mean.. There were more young girls wearing them than NOT wearing them (at least in Tokyo). It was either heels or uggs, lol!

- Couples; I have actually heard that Japanese couples doesn't like to hold hand or such in public too much, so I didn't really expect seeing that too much. I soon realized that that wasn't really true, cuz at least I saw A LOT of couples walking around together, often holding hands. Young couples everywheeere!

- People ask things in Japanese even though it's obvious you don't understand. Like, cashiers and so. But I mean, it's better than not saying anything at all, you can still get SOMETHING out of it if they speak rather than if they don't. Even though you have no idea what they're saying lol.

- Randomly I realized I heard a lot of ambulances (I think they were ambulances? They sounded like.. you know... WHEEEE-WHOOOO-WHEEEE-WHOOOOO. [<-LOL].) in Kyoto. Ummm, yeah, I know nothing more about that, it was just random. I didn't think people got hurt that much in Japan. o.o Maybe it wasn't even an ambulance, I dunno.

- We met elderly Japanese people who actually knew english very well! I really thought that older people knew less english than younger ones in Japan but we heard more english from elderly. One old dude even came up to us while we were checking our Kyoto-map like real tourists and he asked us where we were going, and then helped us in english while pointing on the map. Aww. Other than that, there were more people over-all that knew english than I thought. Maybe I was just lucky to meet the few who knew english, I dunno.

- This is super-random but for some reason I noticed that Japanese cashiers give the bag with your stuff before you get the change. You're like "why the hell did you notice that and wth does it even matter??". But I mean; first you put the money on the table, and the cashier takes it, then she hands you the plastic bag with your stuff in it and says "thank you" or whatever it was, when you feel like "okay, I'm done here!". No? Uh.. Okay, at least I did. I started walking away when I got the bag and the cashier panicked since she hadn't given me the change yet (which was only 5 yen anyway...........) so she called for me and I immidiately turned back feeling embarassed lol. But it's nice that they are honest anyway, haha.

- Bowing gets stuck on you! I thought to myself that I should bow as well when thanking/apologizing while in Japan, so I started doing so. And I never stopped!! (Okay, I have stopped now actually). I am obviously not talking about these 90-degree super-formal bows, but the more nodding-bow... You know? Anyway, I did these all days cuz you found things to thank and apologize for all days lol. And since the Japanese did it so much, you did it too.
For example, if you were standing in someone's way, and then moved out of their way, they bowed quickly while sneaking past. Where I live, people would be like "MHM B-TCH YOU'D BETTER MOVE OUTTA MY WAY". (<-Slight exaggeration lol.)
Even on the flight back from Japan, I accidentally bowed to this danish guy who worked on the plane, when he was giving out candies and told me to "take a few more". ._. I bowed to several danish people that day...

I will try to update more interesting stuff about my trip to Japan! Sorry for this post to be so long and sorry for my horrible English~

Tomorrow

In one of the earlier posts, Hyung brought up Tablo and his new album. This is a song featuring Taeyang, called "Tomorrow" and I gotta say that even before I had listened to it, I knew I would love the song. And my feeling was right. It's a beautiful song and I've been waiting for Taeyang's comeback for a long time. This isn't his comeback, but I love it anyways.  Tablo is a great rapper and YG did right that signed a contract with him. The collab between these two is soo good! Welcome to the YG Family, Tablo!

Check this out!

Baby I'm so Lonely..

So I have noticed 2NE1's Lonely is a very popular song to make a cover of. You noticed that? Everything from covers by YouTubers to choirs and other kpop-singers.. Right now I was listening to Infinite's cover of it, and I liked the cover of theirs!

What do you guys think of it? It's nice isn't it? ^^
Speaking of 'Lonely'-covers, I'm sure most of you already know about this one but it's worth mention it! A couple of months ago, 2NE1 had a cover contest on YouTube which Megan Lee won. Soo jealous! >_< Wish I could sing.. D: And to meet 2NE1 too..

Boys Before Flowers

In the earlier post, I mentioned the k-drama Boys Before Flowers - a korean adaption of the manga Boys Over Flowers or Hana Yori Dango. This drama has been made in two earlier versions, a Taiwanese and a Japanese and later a Chinese version came too. I've seen all the versions (lol) but I have to say I like the Korean version the most! Maybe because I saw BBF first even though the Taiwanese is the oldest version.. ㅋㅋㅋ

Boys Before Flowers is about an average girl, Geum Jan Di (Goo Hye Sun) whose family owns a dry cleaning store, near the famous high school "Shin Hwa" which basically only has the rich ones. One day, JanDi was about to deliver clean clothes to someone in that school but ended up saving a boy from jumping off the school's roof. This came on the news on TV, which led to that she got admitted to attend the school even though she didn't wanted to. She kept a low profile in school because she knew that if she made a conflict with the famous F4 (the four richest boys in school), they'd start to bully out her from school. It didn't go well since her friend accidentally dropped her ice cream on F4's leader's, Goo Jun Pyo (Lee Min Ho) shoe and JanDi was forced to declare war to help her friend. As the story goes, JunPyo's feelings starts to develop towards JanDi while JanDi has feelings for another member of F4.

This drama is too one of my all time favourite dramas. Maybe because it was my first k-drama at all, but I have seen this twice so I might had lucky who got to see this first because it is, overall a very good drama. Or.. no.. it is not a very good, it's GREAT! Awesome! I was stuck in front of the computer watching this the second time as much as the first time I saw it, lulz :c. So, this drama is a drama worth to spend your time watching it!!  :D But ofcourse, it depends on your preference - my taste might not suit yours, right?  Even if you have the same taste as me or not, it's worth a shot! I hope you give it a chance anyways! :-)

No Title :(

Well.. since Hyung handed over the blog to me completely a while, I'll give my best updating it on my own! Even though I wanted to go with Hyung to Japan too.. :c Oh, well!

The problem is.. what should I write about? You want some more drama recommendations or should I write something about an artist or an actor/actress? I'm openminded so it's free to give some suggests ^^

Ok, this post is going anywhere :C Think Imma write a little about how I got into k-pop.. How does that sound? Anyway.. It was so random actually, I found Se7en's "Passion" on YouTube in the early 2008. Thank you Oppa for introducing me into k-pop! Well, since then my addiction has only been increasing, still does. It rose the most after I saw Boys Before Flowers because k-drama was introduced to me and I got to know more kpop-groups. C: Now, I've heard of most of the current bands/groups that are the most popular, either I listen to them or they are just non-unknown.. keke!

I am, as you probably know by now, a VIP. I've been listening to BIGBANG since 2009 and more it will be! And there is mooore! FTISLAND, 2NE1, B2ST, U-KISS - you name it!

As earlier mentioned, this post was going nowhere. Hope this was a bit interesting to read! Or well, not that boring.. D: Next time, writing a recommendation probably is better.. Til then, see ya!
